Cool Get More Podcasts with What???

Ok - I know this might seem backwards, but here me out. You can use *coughs* iTunes *coughs* to get more FREE podcast content on your Zune. That's right. I know it sounds crazy, but it's true. Let's face it. Zune doesn't have a ton of choices (yet) while iTunes, which has been at this for quite some time now, has a huge selection ready for download! They're in the same format (mp4) so it works perfectly! If you can bear using that 'other' media player, here's how....

Step1 - Download iTunes

Step 2 - Open iTunes and click the Podcast menu at the left task pane. You'll may get a message on what Podcasts are and an option to go to the Podcast Directory.

Step 3 - Browse the menu and find somethig you like.

Step 4 - Subscribe to your Podcast. You'll see the downloads status menu show downloads have begun.

Step 5 - You should automatically see the Podcast show up in the Zune Software. From here, you can tell the Zune Software to subscribe and manage everything from here!

Troubleshoot - You may need to tell Zune Marketplace to look in the specific folder where you're downloading.

And if you haven't subscribed to FREE podcasts, why not???

...Or you can just click add a podcast and put the RSS feed url. Works perfectly for me.

yeah, I'm just putting this out there since iTunes has such a huge selection all in one place. Sure, you could go make your rounds on the 'net, but why when you have them all in one place practically....

It just seems like too much work, you should at least make a mini-tut explaining the RSS option. I would do it myself but I don't know how to screen captures and edit them to my liking. To me I think the RSS option is better way to go, I don't have deal with hassle of having itunes. I guess it's like choosing between cake and pie you can't go wrong either way.

I have been doing this for two years. I have never owned an ipood, but before I realized the power of the zune, I listened to them on my treo, cellphone, and 'puter by using itunz. I didn't even think to share this.
