Still not sure about buying a Zune? - Page 3

I FINALLY heard the words I was longing to hear. "You were right about the Zune being better than my ipod" This was from my ultra chic step son. He tried to sucker us into buying him a new Zune here recently after Christmas, but we were not biting. Don't get me wrong, I want the kid to have a Zune and a better listening and viewing experience, but the last few years it was all about a new ipod every year. Video, Nano, and Shuffle (except this last Christmas). I got my 30 the first Christmas it was available. I was told it was no ipod and it wasn't worth a damn. He is pining for a Zune now. I was considering buying a new Zune 80, leaving me with my 30 to give away but he wants an 8 gb Zune because it's slimmer(kids). I figure we bought the last 3 ipods, he should buy his own Zune! Make it mean something. And that is exactly what is happening. Plus, the kids WANT them now. MS has stepped it up and the younger generation is figuring it out. The Zune is cool. but they don't want their parents telling them so. Just pretend as if you didn't know. It will be our little secret.

I've always bought my own mp3 players. I bought my two ipods, and I'm going to buy my own Zune.

I've made the decision i've been pondering over for a while now. My 14 yr old son wants an 80 gb Zune. After watching the youtube viedos posted by Dragod I'm convienced that a Zune is what he should have. I don't care about the price. The kid is on the honor roll at school, plays football, and is a Certified Soccer Referre. So he earns his own money in the fall and spring, but he's a great kid, doesn't give me a lot of crap, and I want him to have something his friends don't have (they all have ipods). So, that's it he getting a Zune for his birthday.

Thanx for all the info guys-my son is going to be one happy kid.

me thinks that pretty soon with next release, they'll be a 160 gig zune!!!

Dang.. I wish i was awsoccermom's son. I'm 15 and getting straigh As, took advanced credit courses, top of class for almost every class, played football, certified computer technician.

I earn my own money al the time. I should deserve a zune 80.

Its really up too you, all i can say is if you want a good mp3 music player thats what it is, if ur not worried about extra features the zune is good for you
