A year after a Zune.art video featured a CSS track promoting Zune, an iPod Touch fan decided to use it in his youtube video. Apple decided to use the video as a real ad, never knowing it was using music from a Zune video! The irony of it all.

The zune commercial is funny, but the ipod one is better. The zune one is too long but at least it points out some of the features.

The Zune commercial almost seems like it is made up of short commercials.

Odd they used the same song, hard to believe that was an accident though.

the zune one isnt a commercial i dont think, it is one of the short films off of zune-arts.net or at least i think

maybe an add for movie theatres?

CSS is doing quite well for themselves. At least in the advertising royalties aspect.

That Zune art video was actually nicely done. It actually showed some functionality and was funny too. Though I like the iPod Touch one better... Definitely good publicity for CSS.

While I have to agree with most, that the touch video was better (this is probably due to it's more professional look provided by the thousands of dollars went into it), I still found the zune video funny, interesting, and it didn't provide that annoying feeling that hits me in the back of the head when I see an advertisement for the one millionth time. I'd love to see more ads like this come out. It'd make for better commercial breaks...

Just a little "factoid". The iPodT commercial was made by an 18 year old student who posted it on youtube. Apple was impressed and had him do it again with slightly better editing and different music/video examples. Most of the money probably went into licensing the CSS song.

One of my friends came up to me 2 days ago and said "listen to this song, it's the iPod touch commercial song." So I told him that the Zune used it WAY before for its video.

I'd have to say the apple ad was better, but then again the music was good factor about it which was stolen from the zune

Apple didn't come up with the video or the song used in it. An 18 year old student made the video and used the CSS song in it. He posted it on youtube and Apple hired him to make another more professional looking version for TV.. Implying that Apple is copying that Zune video just because they share a Song, is silly.
