New Zune Ad

The new Zune commercial is out (actually it started airing last night 11/1/2007!!) and it's a very interesting contrast to the competitor's loud, pop-culture alternative. Zune has always been about music, art, and bringing people together. This video shows that in just 30 seconds.

Both are amazing. I think that this really shows how laid back and yet, may I say it, mature the zune is. I'm glad to see Microsoft taking this avenue.

In passing, does anyone know who sings the song playing (both in the ad and site)?

Nice ad,i even like the song in it. Alot better than the nano 1234 song to me. Someone already said that Microsoft is stealing the itouch ad. God will it ever end.

The website is cool. But I still believe the commercial is too complicated and not informative. Show me the features, Show me the Specs, Show me some of the actual customization. Showing me the damn device your trying to sell me.

Exactly what I was saying. MS needs to stop trying to be hip and tell people why the Zune kicks so much ass.

You miss the point of this ad. It's basically a teaser ad. Just getting people interested. They may make other ads with actual features. But I don't think it's MS who's doing it. I think it's the marketing firm. And I think it's doing the marketing for the Xbox 360 too...you notice neither ad for zune or Xbox really shows the products (although in Xbox's case, they really couldn't show something that everyone doesn't know)

Trying to see where the marketing firm is coming from, I'm sure they're trying to change people's perspective. There's many ways to do that.

I understand all that. But a teaser ad is supposed to intrigue you into wanting to know more. And in my opinion, It fails at doing so.

in my opinion, the ipod touch commercial doesn't make me want to use the ipod touch, all they do is use it...nothing for me to go to the store and check out, i k now exactly what im getting based on the commercial.i think the marketing firm doing this is trying to get people to go to the store and try the zune for themselves. the song catches your attention, then you see the zune.
