Just my opinion, but I say it's not awesome.

Music Studios won't tolerate hacked DRM. They require that DRM be modified after every hack. This will only divert the work of the Zune team to fixing DRM issues when they should be working on new firmware.

Potential for circumventing DRM and WiFi 3 play/3 day rules was a reason there was no external hard-disk support on the initial product. Paul Thurrott relays this from an interview with David Caulton, "Another feature users sometimes bring up is the ability to use the Zune as a portable storage device. That feature, which was briefly in pre-release versions of the product and then pulled at the last minute, will be brought back in a future update. "We killed it as a tradeoff," Caulton said. "But it will make it back in. It's a good checkbox feature only. Very few people use this functionality." Microsoft killed the external hard-drive support to get music studios to participate.

Hacks may be good for a very small percentage of customers which are tech savvy, but it's pointless for many general consumers and even worse for the Zune development team.

I have mixed feelings about this one.

Good, Finally File shareing
Bad, People steal files, but who can say they have never stole a thing (including downloaded music

Unconfirmed Sources political satire and news story parodies as represented above are written as satire or parody. They are, of course, fictitious.

It's fake

This is a bad thing for already established artists but goo for people like me who want to get the word out about your band.

cool, but what I'm really waiting for the zune to be able to do is play other formats like divx, xvid, avi, etc.

I wont buy a zune until that happens.

For the love of God, take that post off the front page before anyone else's hopes are lifted and then shattered. The source is blatantly outrageously satirical.
