Cool Limited-Edition Wisin y Yandel Zune

Today Microsoft announced that a Zune music player produced in collaboration with Latin Grammy-nominated artists Wisin y Yandel, Machete Music and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. will go on sale exclusively at Wal-Mart retailers Oct. 29 for $199 (ERP).

The black, limited-edition Zune will come pre-loaded with the new Wisin y Yandel album, “Wisin vs. Yandel: Los Extraterrestres,” before it is available in stores, and will also feature an exclusive track, music videos, photos and concert footage.

This broadens Zune as a player for multiple cultures and people from all walks of life. Microsoft has made great strides in making Zune something for everyone, instead of for the elite or pop culture like some other media players out there...

There's no better way to show your ignorance and possible prejudice than to post up how stupid someone or something is just 'cause you don't know who is being represented.

Wisin y Yandel are Latin Grammy-nominated artists and Zune's giving them a huge bump. You may not like them, or know who they are, but it really goes to show how Zune is trying appeal to a broader spectrum of music - in contrast to the elitist/pop culture iPod.

If you haven't figured it out yet, lemme help you out. Zune is to promote music and art, and promote the social aspect of music. There's many forms of music that you may not be accustom to, but to pass judgment and say it's stupid just shows how much you need to lighten up and have a more open mind. What if some of their fans got Zunes and came on here to see you bashing their favorite artist?

I know this is an open forum, many opinions are shared here, so now you know mine....

I still think it's a lame marketing ploy for a group of no significance whatsoever.

Microsoft should spend more time growing the Zune as a product rather than throwing a wildcard out there to try to lure in some Puerto Ricans.

Actually it's a good way of targeting other cultures into possibly getting a Zune. Mostly Hispanics in this case.

It's not a real waste, I mean we all know the new software is coming soon.
