A photo was released today of Microapple's new product.  This features a huge 256meg hard drive. A cd-rom drive. Webcam. Will support all of macs sweet games. More is to be announced sometime.

Zune 2 Battery life????
One very important item that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere is the battery life of Zune 2. It's my #1 beef on the current Zune (my battery craps out after a 2 hour movie and maybe 30-60 minutes of music and I have the backlight on low and no wifi-on on).
The new ipods have been touting battery life as one of their big marketing messages - 7 hours for the nano, and like 6 hours for the classic and touch. The fact that Microsoft hasn't mentioned battery life at all in any of their initial press has me worried that they haven't upped the ante here and could be a big sore point on sales. It would be great if the new firmare could address battery life, but I'm not hopeful. |

Currently, on Engadget, the battery life is reported to be 20 hours audio/5 hours video for the Zune 80 and 20 hours audio/4 hours video. Exact specs are not available yet...
And if your battery 'craps' out after only 2 hours, it's not the hardware, it's the operator...

Looks like the back is a plastic with a spotty paint job to make it look metal but still have the Zune's rugged lastability.
