I have spent much time trying to get my library to work the right way. I had some problems with having doubles of cds … instead of keeping them separate it would make them one cd with the track order of 1,1, 2,2 so on and so on.. And then I have some special edition cd’s with two discs instead of keeping them separate it would do the same thing track 1,1, 2,2, and so on. I am also seeing that some times it just splits a cd up for no reason at all, it will just randomly sort a cd into separate cds . So I worked out getting rid of doubles of cds and was attempting to get all of my music built in the library the right way. Now it will not update all the cd information (album art and stuff like that) when you go… options .. library… find info for all albums… it will freeze up and say that it cant connect to the server “server is busy, retrying” and then it just freezes like that. Is there any way to do all of this with a different program before building the library in the zune software. I love my zune but the software is just crap, and I don’t understand why it is so bad, it looks like it was built off of windows media player and that program is not nearly as bad as the zune software.
any help would be great thank u |

I've had the same problem, so then I looked at the File Summary in My Computer and I found out that one CD had been split into two CD's becuase half of the songs for that album had a comma and the other didn't, and the "Find Album Info" in the Zune software didn't overwrite the information and correct the album where half the tracks were marked as having a comma in the album name.

You could use MP3Tag (http://www.mp3tag.de/en) and see the instructions at http://www.zuneboards.com/forums/tut...-mp3-tags.html
I think the Find Album Info is a good starting point, but it does take effort to get your library fully cleaned. The effort is worth it, though. ![]() |

I was having the same problem. Within the Zune software, you need to highlight the group of files that you're having trouble with, right click, select "Edit Track Info", and then make sure that Artist, Album Artist, and Composer are all the same. This should fix everything.
