[SOLVED] Adding lyrics to songs in Marketplace...

This is available if you right-click a song in marketplace and pick "edit track info", and pick lyrics.. Any idea why you would add lyrics to the song? I guess it's just a function of the ID3 tag, but I figured that I'd ask...

Either it's a function that MS was too lazy to remove in the ID3 tags, or perhaps it will be a future firmware update for lyrics. Perhaps.

it won't show on the device... I think it's just something that the meta data can contain... so they included the option to add... not to mention that if you did add the lyrics, then you would be able to sing along on your computer without having to look it up on some site.

This is the same thing with an ipod, you can't see the lyrics on the device but you can when your playing the song on your computer

some devices will show the lyrics, my watch can.

lyrics should be part of the downloadable ID3 info when your zune updates tracks

and it should be an option to view on your zune, that would kick ass - being able to sing along; not to mention when you hear a lyric you dont understand, being able to look up that line on the go rather than have it bug you all day

hmm... dragod's post made me think... can the zune software sync with more than just the zune? I know wmp can sync with many different devices... but can the zune software?

Maybe that's what it's for... other devices. Maybe it's for xbox360 sharing. who knows

The Zune can sync with a huge number of Zunes, and if you use the Guest Hack they can all call that computer home.

The lyrics were something they left in from WMP, it is an identical menu even! It doesn't mean anything.
