Albums Not Available

i've noticed that multiple albums for many artists are not available to download, even with a zune pass. are they available if you but microsoft points?

There are a number of artists/albums not available due to the record labels, not Zune. The Zune Team is constantly trying to get more content available through the Marketplace, but it's really up to the record labels. Yes, some bands (i.e. Metallica) will not allow you to download any of their albums with a Zune Pass, but you can purchase them using MS Points, but you must purchase the entire album.

These requirements may also be at the request of the artist. I remember when Jay-Z came out with his album 'American Gangster" and he did not want people downloading a couple tracks from the album. He wanted the entire album to be heard or not at all. This is a concern for all digital music stores, but one we can't get around through Zune Marketplace right now.

So yeah, you have unlimited downloads with Zune Pass, but you do have a limited selection, which can be a downer for some users (including myself). I hope the Zune Team can bump up the number of tracks available soon....
