Default Simultaneous Downloads?

Is there any way to get the simultaneous downloads up from the current restriction (2 or 3)? I know you can up the limit with a reg hack for IE, but what about the Zune software's marketplace?

Not that I know of.
I think you'd have to ask a H&M'er that question.

Even if it were possible, it would not make downloading any faster.

Say you have a 300KB/s connection and you are downloading 2 songs.
Song 1 gets 150KB/s
Song 2 gets 150KB/s

If you have a 300KB/s connection and 5 songs are downloading.
Each song gets 60KB/s

So by downloading more than 1 song at once, you are getting no further.

Usually, each download connection is throttled to a certain kb speed to prevent one person from killing the source or creating a DoS attack. So more concurrent connections should equal more downloads in a given amount of time. My IE settings make this happen for me and I was hoping someone might know of a way to increase them in the marketplace. Oh well, maybe I'll do some snooping and see what I can come up with.

Cheers
