the reason why they dont really push the apps store thing is because they are waiting for WINMO 7 (which has the same specs as the zune hd) once thats out of the way.. they will push forward with WIMNO 7 in terms of 3rd party development.. BUT WAIT!..there's more: when these apps are released (theoretically) they are compatible with the zune HD..so the next step is to combine the two stores and make them ONE!
on a different note : the only reason they are developing their own games is because ex ipod users are going to start bitching pretty soon "only 9 apps/games?" so they will slowly give us more to hold us over until then..

I could care less about weather it is windows 7 mobile or not, All i know is that these games are going to be AWESOME!!!!! And don't forget, the update to XNA will be coming with the new games allowing people to make there own 3D games. Granted you still have to restart to exit, but still a game is a game. I know that i would be really sad without all my 3rd party apps I got from ZHDApps | Home. With the new games it will make the Zune HD almost like an xbox portable. Witch is FRICKING SWEET
devices that are going to run windows mobile 7 have the same specs as the zune HD in terms of hardware.
Umm, that's impossible to determine. Many different phone makers will be manufacturing phones that will run WinMo7. They won't all be using 3.3" OLED screens, Tegra processors, however much RAM is inside, etc. That would be ridiculous.
The phones might be just as fast or faster than the Zune, but they won't have the same hardware.

Hey! Teachers! Leave them kids alone!
All in all it's just another brick in the wall.

windows mobile 7s minimum requirements are basically the zune hd in terms of processor speed and performance. and you'll be surprised how many company's are going to be using tegra and snapdragon, the zune hd was first inline to get tegra ,thats why we have it now but other company's are waiting in line as well (if you know what i mean)

Oh no, I get what you're saying. I thought you were saying that any phone with WinMo7 will have the exact same specs as the Zune HD. Down to the same clock speeds, RAM amount, hardware build, etc. You're saying that the Zune HD is like a baseline that future phones will improve on.

I can't wait either, but one thing i do know is that they are taking too long, it's already nov, and time is passing by quickly. One thing i don't understand is why don't they give us a clearer timeframe of when we should be getting them instead of relying on word of mouth. i know that that would make a lot of us happy =D

While I do agree that it is taking a long time, it seems a lot of people don't understand that it is not just a matter of releasing them as if they were done a long time ago. When the apps are planned and being made they don't plan the exact date they are going to be finished but rather give a deadline they plan to meet which in this case is sometime in november. We are not talking about just one app here so no doubt they are going to finish at different dates. So while it doesn't really matter to me what people should really be complaining about is releasing the apps almost like a package instead of individually when each one was/is finished.
I can't find the link but I also remember some guy claiming he got a preview of the apps and the marketplace and he said it was a huge improvement and the worth wait(paraphrasing). So I'm expecting the apps marketplace to be improved design-wise and maybe even more previously unannounced apps.
So..................... prepare for the worst, hope for the best.
