They obviously did that to be jerks and try to hurt the Zune HD. How can anyone think it is just coincidence that the price of the 32 GB iPod Touch just happened to become $10 less than the Zune HD?

That's exactly what I was thinking. At least this means that competition is alive and well - maybe MS will drop the 32GB by $20, to compensate.
(not that they really need to. The ZuneHD, going on what we know so far, is probably going to be a better device for the money).
Its because they are releasing new stuff today, I believe.
that is my guess as well...clearing out the stores for the next generation ipod touch...which probably means that the newes generation will be more expensive than the Zune HD.
what i don't get is how the 32GB is $10 cheaper yet the 16GB is $30 more than the Zune HD...pricing doesn't make any sence.
first off they aren't releasing any new touches this year, they are rumored to bring HD video to the iphone 3GS (which has been proven to play HD videos on the screen) but not output it
and the real reason they dropped the price is because people might of wanted a and the real reason they dropped the price is because people might of wanted a ipod touch or a nano but it was too expensive ,so if they went to bestbuy and saw them side by side they would take the zune HD w/o or the zune nano hesitation but now that they are at an "equal" price its a tough decision for costumers to make.

Yeah, the website has $299 as the price also. No 16 GB model on the website either, maybe they got rid of it? I didn't follow along with the event or anything, so I'm not sure. I just checked the website.
