Why would Microsoft make it so that ex-iPod owners would not be able to add any of the songs they purchased from iTunes onto their Zunes

Just curious, but everyone keeps mentioning that you should be able to play files downloaded from iTunes. I don't believe that's correct. Granted, they are .aac files but they're
protected aac files, much as the wma's are in the zune marketplace. There exist both DRMed and non-DRMed versions of both aac and wmv. To have the ability to play such protected files, a decrypting algorithm must be present and the Zune Software doesn't for aac. At least that's my understanding. Sorry to be nit-picky, I wanted to clarify before people go out and download songs off itunes instead of Zune (why would they? IDK).
In other news... Armin van Burren is sweet, and thanks to you, I just downloaded the 24 - Longest Day Music Video
