Alternative Zune HDD Option

Okay, so I know (or at least as far as I know) Zune 3.1 firmware does not allow you to use the Zune as a HDD. Yet, what I have found is that if you would like to transfer files, you can compress them in either .ZIP or .ISO (whatever else you like) and then, once compressed rename the file from .ZIP or .ISO, to .JPG, .MP3, .WAV, whatever else Zune supports. Drag and drop! Works for me! The only drawback to this is that you must have Zune 3.1 software on another computer to do this.

You have to have all machines you use your Zune "HDD" installed with 3.1 Zune Software though. But im surprised people havent done this before, like the whole Podcast/Movie stuff.

Yeah, that's the flaw. But this would go hand-in-hand with the Portable Zune software. You just get a cheap memory stick and plug this in, run the software and it should work. We just need a more stable release of the PZS
