Default Questions about modding Zune 80gb.

ok im coming close to filling my zune entirely ( 3/4s of the way there ) and ill probably have it filled soon so i was wondering on how i could double hdd it like from the youtube vid and also on how i could double the battery life by adding another bat to it, weight and thickness isnt really a concern to me i tend to have very large pockets. my only concern is whether i could do it and about how long it would take, how much it would cost, what i would need, and things of that nature im fine with taking my zune apart and voiding the warranty i would ahve taken it apart sooner or later

if i do end up doing this i will surely, and gladly post videos, pics, etc. on what i did and things like that

Those where more for the 30Gig Zune. The only real worth while mod you can really do at the point is replace your 80GB zune HDD with a Larger HDD.

A 120GB mod might work:

120GB MK1231GAL Hard Drive for iPod/Zune: RapidRepair

That's about as a far as you'll get, tmk. 160GB 1.8" Toshiba drives have a different connector, and the new 240GB drive is 8mm thick (and I don't think it works with the Zune firmware, tmk).

ok so both are a little far gone? i mean i may end up buying a 30gb case for the sake of more memory, 40gigs more...yeah its a good bit of memory but i sometmes get 6gb of music/videos a month so it really wouldnt last me which is why im wondering on the double-hdding

You can try buying a cheap old 30gig and mod it, I heard those are funner and easier to mod.

I may end up doing so. I really just need more memory and bat. life, and i really don't care about warranty.
