Zune doesn't clear content when re-linking?

So, I had the Zune software installed on my windows xp partition, and everything was synced. Today, I installed windows 7 beta (build 7000) onot that same partition, as a new install, not as an upgrade (i.e. I formatted the partition).

Now, I just installed the zune software, and have yet to connect the external drive with my music. I plugged in my zune, and told it to link to this computer, clearing content. It was doing that, and then it threw an error message. I unplugged-replugged in the Zune, and the same window came up. This time it did not throw an error message, and it did re-link my Zune to this computer. However, all of the music was still on my Zune! Right now I'm in the process of reverse-syncing it to my hard drive.. And yes, I can play the music.

Any idea how this happened?

Also, it keeps telling me to unplug+replug-in the Zune every ~100 tracks that it syncs. Also, note that I'm syncing through the Zune dock. The usb cord that normally goes into the power block is instead plugged into my computer.

hmmmm
try reinstalling the software
make sure you use unzoone to uninstall.
