Default [HELP] Hold Switch Broken

Hey, thanks for reading this

I was listening to my music one day in the car, and me using the hold switch alot like to skip a song, then put it back on hold until it just stopped working.

I forget exactly how it happened, I just remembered that it was just really easy to go from hold to unhold, and it still had the padlock on the zune display. Now the hold switch doesnt even work, wont show the padlock at all.

Does anyone know any way to fix this?

I would take pictures, but every single one is way too blurry.

Sounds like you'll have to call 1-877-GET-ZUNE.

Thats your best bet.

This just happened to me, I sent my Zune in for repairs. It was free, just go to Zune.net and hit the support button and then go from there.

you may be able to take the top part of the switch off and toggle it using whatever it is connected to. it would be like taking the knob off the AC controller in a car and changing the temperature using what the knob was connected to.

Just call 1-877-GET-ZUNE and you should be fine. Also, if you have a Social account, you should be able to do it online.

Ok, one more question i swear lol

My zune.net account says:
"# Repair Status: Waiting for Device at Service Center"

Does that mean I have to provide the box and ship it? Or are they sending me a box to send it in? I know apple sends a specialized box for repairs, I'm hoping zune does the same.

If it's registered with MS through the Social site, you should be fine.
