View all songs by artist without going through albums?

I don't know if this qualifies as a mod, hack, or trick, but anyway...
I've seen this discussed in a few places and have yet to really get a solid answer. When you select an artist you are forced to know which album the song is on that you want. Hell, even if you know the album it requires an extra click and is inconvenient.

I am also aware that you can hit 'play all' and eventually get to a song list that is oddly sorted and anyway requires way too much clicking to get to.

At this point, I would just be willing to not have any album information which it seems like would result in just one long list of songs, in alphabetical order for a given artist. However, I can't seem to even figure out how to do that. Any help would be appreciated.
