Default zsuite in linux

i have not used zsuite yet, but wouldn't you technically be able to switch the program to use a program also used in linux? This would need a dual boot, however...

So you want to install zsuite in windows and set it to use a program in linux? Is that correct?

Why don't you just try using Wine in linux to see if you can run zSuite in linux?

that may just work, i don't think you can get zune installed in wine however. I'll have to use an old hard drive to install linux, and i'll try virtual box or something, i'll first try it with Ubuntu and maybe Opensuse 11.

it probably wont work due to no .net support on wines part. if it does you would have to have the newest linux drivers for your graphics card installed (or in virtual box make sure you use the extras to enable ati/nvidia emu support) for the software to run

Nothing works with OS11, on account of the fact that it's been the least stable build of it I've ever used. So good luck on that score.

FreeBSD seems to be (from what I've seen) a big steamy pile of doo-doo.

And no, you would not be able to do that with zSuite due to drive access conflicts. What you are talking about is, quite honestly, impossible, in every sense of the word.

figured as much so. Wine has no driver support and no .net framework so i know it wont work in any distro of linux

Wine will NOT run Zune nor will any other linux program. VirtualBox does and I am currently syncing my Zune using VirtualBox as I type this. Just be sure to download VirtualBox from the website and NOT synaptics. If you do it through synaptics not only will you have to configure the usb manually (Its a pain in the ass) you will also have to grant yourself privleges and if done wrong will not allow you to use sudo ever again unless you manually override root user by the terminal in recovery mode.(Even bigger pain in the ass)

P.S. Wine blows through the anal canal. It hardly runs anything and people fail to realize this.

Wine is good for running old Windows games that run at 500+ frames per second on new computers. I wanted to play Betrayal in Antara (Sierra), but it ran way too fast. I tried it on Wine, and it ran at the perfect speed. Same with Shivers 2. That is the only use I've found so far.
