Default Hack Requests:

Hi there, I've been browsing this impressive forum for a while now but so far I haven't come across any hacks that I've been interested enough in to download. All the functionality of the of the existing software hacks seem to be surface deep...

I know the firmware cannot be hacked yet so is there any way to do any of the following on windows vista?

1. Make the latest Zune software see avi files and allow them to be dragged (and automatically converted into a zune-compatible format) onto the device.

2. Make the latest Zune software actually write the metadata and album art for every song into the ID tag of the MP3 file.

3. Scan the library and automatically download any missing album art it can find online based on the artist/track name.

Thanks for the help!
Ciaran

#1 can already be done with zSuite as long as the avi files arnt DiVX/XViD or HD-Audio encoded due to license restrictions I believe.
#2 I second you on
#3 is already in the standard 2.5 Zune software

I can't think of one avi file on my drive that aint divX or Xvid! Anyway, I thought you guys were meant to be hackers?! Why is there concern for licensing restrictions?

Oh Really? That's cool, I thought you had to do it one album at a time. How do you do it automatically? I guess it's kind of pointless without #2 above tho...

2. Make the latest Zune software actually write the metadata and album art for every song into the ID tag of the MP3 file.

can also be done in v2.5
