made a fatal error. . . please help

so heres the story, i spent a good few months organzing over 100gb of music on winamp, then i finished and rewarded myself with a new zune (used to be an ipod user, but i liked the idea of the zune). so i went home and updated all the software for it, all the way to 2.5. then i noticed my zune wasnt loading onto winamp and figured out zune isnt supported. so i did some research and discovered the zAlternator. . . and found i need version 2.1-2.3. further research let me find out that an 80gb gen 2 doesnt have an easy way to downgrade. so, did i dig myself too deep? please someone help! thanks, Austin

Im on 2.5 and it still works fine for me. I believe it says 2.1-2.3 because it came out before 2.5.
