Best hard drive hack/mod?

It seems like there is some problems with the HD hack (from what ive seen in the forums). I was wondering if there is a "fool proof" method of doing the HD hack? I like the idea of exploring the Zune hard drive files on my computer, but is it worth it? Ive heard that if you do the hack you cannot go back to the way your Zune was. Is that true? I just dont want to mess my Zune up with something I dont know much about.

i've used the HD hack and my zune had and has no negative effects...I also use my zune software just the same as before...I also use it as an HD without problem...sooo...you just have to be careful of how you go about doing everything...

Well, whats the best way of going about doing the HD hack? Do I have to download anything or just change the registry?
I tried the zAuto Unlocker but im getting an error message when I try to run it saying its unable to find a specific file and it cannot execute the external program... Whatever that means?!?

Just use Berdon's HD patch.
