I don't know the details involved with removing the cover, but be warned you'll void your warranty by doing so. I'd recomend just buying a screen cover and accepting the dust you already have.

Well my friend has some extremely obvious dust beneath his as well, he called Zune, yet told them something with the system was wrong (they don't replace for dust, sorry) and they said he'd have to send it in. If they didn't find anything wrong with it, they'd send it back.

It happens.
I haven't owned an iPod or Zune yet that hasn't got dust underneath the screen.
Just have to accept it and try to ignore it.

MS will do nothing about it... they may give you a case number and document it, but thats all.

You know what sucks more nads than dust... Broken Pixels. I have one small broken pixel on the left side of my "music, pictures" etc... and it drives me freakin' nutz.

Exactly. Kinda' have to shake it around (which isn't good on the HDD inside), but you can get the dust to move.

Right before I sent my zune back for repair.. I realized I was getting dust under my screen! In just a few days it pissed me off beyond belief, so I'm just hoping they send me a replacement(as they always do) as apposed to a repair.

LOL, just take care of it, and buy a case.

I use my 30GB *Soft-Case* to store my 80 in. Prevented any dust from getting in it so far.

Yeah, but my zune 8 can't really scratch or anything, so I don't need a case. Just fails that I may have to use one simply to stop dust >.<
