So for all of you who have been working with your resource hackers, modifying the looks of your Zune Software, we have a special little treat for you.
ZSkin Applier created so that you can effectivally and efficentally switch through your modified skinned zunelocs and change the Zune Software to your own preference. Its extremely simple to do, you load up Applier.exe, Add all your little skins to the listbox, then select which one you'd like to apply. Then Click Apply Skin, and you're done. Launch the Zune Software, and your skin is now activated. Now this is only part one of the gift (the Skin Applier), part two will be coming later in the day for those who do not have already made skins. Part1: http://projects.uaktechnology.com/applier.zip Part2: http://www.zuneboards.com/downloads/...nesDayPack.zip So on behalf of ZuneBoard's Rogue team, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY ZuneBoard! UPDATE: The Second part of the gift (Pink Skin) has been released to finish off our Valentine's Gift to you. This should help show the full potential of ZSkin Applier and the glory of ZuneSkins |

That looks nice and neat, The graphics seem a little out, couple of jagged edges in a couple of spots but otherwise looks nice and works pretty well too. Maybe in 1.2 I didnt see if you could go back to your original dll besides renaming it, maybe include an option like that if it isnt in there if it is and i just didnt see it then forget what i wrote ;D
+rep Edit: Also maybe once they add a skin ask them if they want to name it, if not add like a 1 or 2 or 3 etc. at the end of it. Just a suggestion |

i do like your suggestions.
For the original Zuneloc suggestion, would it auto add itself to the list at startup take care of this idea? That way its already right there, theres no interaction from the user other then just click and press apply. And would it be better for a text box to be on the screen or a input box to pop up asking to name the skin? All suggestions are welcomed |

There should be a button called "Clear List."
I had to close the program and re-open the program to do that. Just my 2 cents.. Great job on the program btw.

I have updated my post, and Applier.exe. Now it has the Clear List, i've tried to make the graphics not look so Done-In-MSPaint, and made the button areas bigger for Apply Skin and Add Skin (before u HAD to press on the image, couldn't click on the text, now u can do both...minor improvement).
Also i fixed an issue where sometimes the applier just did not work....that was my fault, my coding, its all good now. |

Manual Installation 1. Copy and paste the ZuneLoc.dll file into "C:\Program Files\Zune". If you get a message that says you can't delete the files, this is because all of the critical Zune .dll's are monitored by a program called "ZuneNSS". Just go to Control Panel->Administrator Tools->Services and scroll all the way to the bottom. You should see ZuneNSS; just stop it and your good to go. 2. Paste it again and it should be replaced. Have fun! |

HAHAHA..i feel so stupid for my previous releases....i got it working...i loved the suggestion of the window popping up....what happens now is u click Apply Skin, and a window will popup where u must select the original Zuneloc.dll (this way the applier knows where u have installed Zune, and where to save the new skin to) So much more convient.

http://projects.uaktechnology.com/applier.exe
UPDATED to version 1.1.3 ---------------------------------------------- Future Additions: ---------------------------------------------- - Auto Updater (Version 1.2 most likely or 1.1.5) - Any more features we can discover for Zune ---------------------------------------------- Previous Versions: ---------------------------------------------- Version 1.1.2 Fixed backup setting by creating a whole new system to run by. Now user can say whether the file used is the original or not, and if so, then can save it as Zuneloc.orginal.dll and is located whereever ZSkin Applier.exe is located. The Applier process still isn't ready yet, but a new system of Open and Save windows are currently used, but is unfortunately not user-friendly. Version 1.1 and 1.1.1 Had the current layout, but there were bugs with the actual applying process, in which those who did not install Zune to the default location couldn't get ZSkin Applier to save for them. Plus an issue was occuring with the backup feature in which people were saving backups after every usage and getting bombed with 10mb .dlls from the backups. Version 1.0 Was just a dumbed down version of v1.1 but without the Save List/Load List, graphics, etc. |

Ok, i've updated it even some more...lol...i'm working hard on this, and i hope that it shows. Now there is a Auto Updater built in. Try it out, right now its in a beta phase i suppose you can say with a version number of 1.1.5...soon im going to have it be version 1.2 which will hopefully have a database (remote-connection) of skins that can be downloaded. try it out...link to download is still the same
