Thumbs up Use Both Zune Programs + Extra Files

Ok this may be a bit long but I cant make it much shorter, sorry.

While messing around with some Zune files I figured out how to install the first Zune software (i already had V2 installed). Before i explain how i did it i want to say that it is at this point buggy (ie the Zune isnt recognized/i cant access options) but i hope somebody can build off of this.

Steps:
1. Insert the Zune software disk, click off the window that pops up, and use explore to look at the contents of the disk.

2. Download universal extractor (google it, this forum wont let me post links) and install.

3. Use uni-extract to extract the contents of (drive letter)\Packages\ZUNE\Zune-x86-ENU.exe to any folder on your hard drive.

4. Now extract Zune.msi and you should be given a folder, within this navigate to the Zune folder.

5. Click on Zune.exe and you should get an error. Close it and the box should remain open. (here is where it gets sketchy) I dragged a file called ZuneSyncRestore.dll to this box but it may be possible to just drag any file, i really don't know.

6. From here just keep clicking next despite errors and such and you should have the first Zune program installed within this folder.

One other thing to note: There are files in this folder and the above I haven't seen before, they may be usable for hacking (ie ZuneSyncRestore.dl).

Well I hope this helps someone and that this isn't already posted somewhere.
