[SOLVED] Youtube Converter

i need a dang Youtube converter! i have tried google im not that dumb of a guy

but all the ones i use dont work...ive downloaded and everything im even registered to one that doesnt even work! can someone help em out here...

how bout this one? it's from youtube STRAIGHT to ipod/zune format the first one on the list of converters:

this website is really good, it's a whole set of EVERYTHING for ipod/zune. you wont ever need a converter or anything if u download everything here

Here is the software I am using for downloading Youtube videos to my Zune.

www (dot) freedownloadmanager (dot) org/download (dot) htm

Key items for downloading:

1. On Youtube, click “Share” button and copy the link

2. In Free Download Manager (FDM), select “Flash video downloads” tab and choose “Add download” (+) and the link should be automatically pasted into the box

3. The first time, choose “Customize” button and choose WMV format (Zune 30GB doesn’t use MPEGs) and check the “Remember settings as default” box.

4. The first time, I set my download directory to ‘My Videos’ directory (under “My Documents”). My Zune software is set to monitor/sync this directory.

5. Each time, I uncheck the automatic filename box and give the file a name.

6. Make sure your Zune software is running so it will detect the new file. Optionally, your Zune can be connected at the same time.

7. I leave the downloads set for automatic.

8. The file will download and then be converted and added to the sync list, and transferred to your Zune, if it is connected- else next time you sync it will be transferred.

That’s all there is to it!

Note: MP4's do not allow categories, even though some software "pretends" to set it. That's why I now use WMV's.

i use Any DVD Converter Professional. it has its own youtube button to download the video from youtube(using the link) and then converting it to zune format. then...go to the folder it exported to... and drag and drop.

I have a method that's pretty simple. With the latest version of Realplayer, a small box pops up with each flash-based video played, asking if you want to download and save it (in flash format).

Then I drop the flash file into Super (C) freeware video converter. I know some people don't like Super (C) but it works fine for this. It crashes if I try to convert the flash file to a Zune wmv, but it will convert to Divx OK. Then I use Roxio 9 to convert the Divx file to Zune WMV. I think you can have the Zune software do that with the right patch, as an alternative.

This process is easy and fast, and preserves the original quality.

zamzar.com is a free no download that work good. but i prefer mediaconverter.com it is faster and you can make the resolution and sound better. it is also free and no download.

i'll second media convert or you could use that xbox?, **** i forgot the name but it was featured in one of the how to's on this site. but jsut remember to download a good codec pack with it.. i prefer CCCP codec pack over KLite

Hi guys. I a n00b here. I can download the vids from Youtube to my Zune Collection but I am having peoblems draging and dropping to the device (80 GB Zune). If anybody have any imput plus help. I will try making the video smaller and see what happens. Thanks
