Thanx Zunenerd but i am really tired of downloading software, this is the 4 one (and the first one that was free) i have downloaded that actually works as far as being able to atleast get the vids in my zune collection, but they will not sync to my device. I have went into the player and settings... no progress... shheeezzz...what are the steps you use on your converter?

I just left most of the settings alone when i converted but I of course had to change the format to wmv.

I use SUPER and DownThisVideo! - Download videos from YouTube, GoogleVideo, Metacafe, DailyMotion, Vimeo, etc...

p.s. for any youtube video that you want to watch, add this to the url "&fmt=18" for high quality in flv. or "&fmt=6" for mp4 i suggest you use "&fmt=6" and then just let your zune software do the rest.

Call me lame but I use a program called YouTubedownloader. Then I just open it in Windows Media Player and save it as a wmv.

Thanks so much for this link! The videos that come out look great on my little 8gb screen! I have been downloading/converting youtube videos for years to watch on my cell phones, and they usually look horrible, no mater what program or website I used.

make that a bookmark it downloads the video in a mp4 file and goes straight onto the zune just gota rename it lol i got it off a google chrome websight it they said it works with firefox also

ok this is the most easiest zune converter ever!
zunecaster.com - it has ZUNE in it
what you do is paste your youtube link in put in the title and stuff
then after the link is converted go to your software
go to collection
go to podcasts
go to add a podcast
put the link in there
click subscribe
the after it downloads sync it with ur zune

The way I get Youtube on my Zune is both fast and free.

First, you will need to install the free trial version of Cucusoft Youtube Mate. (The trial version is all you need)

Here's the link:

Now before you begin, you will need to open up this program. (Each time you open it, it will ask you if you want the full version, always say no.)
Next, go to the youtube video you want and copy the URL. A little window will pop up and have the URL in the proper place, now click OK. The download will start immediately and should only take a couple minutes.

Now you convert the video to be compatible with your Zune. You will want to use Media Convert. It is free and requires no download.

Ignore the ads and click Choose File. Your downloads will come up. Choose the video you just downloaded. (The title will be the title of the video +.flv)
The input format should be set to Flash Video (.flv). Your output format should be set to ZUNE and MPEG-4 (.mp4). Now click OK.

The conversion should only take a couple minutes.


It will take you to one of two pages.

One will ask you for E-mail address. (Don't worry they don't spam) They will then send you a link to receive your converted item.

The other contains a link that will download your converted item. Under the ads, click the link next to this icon.

This download will only take a minute or two. Next, pull up your Zune software and your downloads. On the Zune software, click on videos. Now drag and drop the video from your downloads. The correct one will have an icon next to it that looks like the Zune logo on a piece of paper. Now you are free to watch the video on the Zune software and even place it on your Zune!
