I was just randomly thinking this..

I've been hearing from members the idea is to start a program/code within a Video, Image or Song. Wouldn't this Either CREATE a new way for viruses to travel (Even though were talking two different architectures, its not hard to move over them once you've gotten the base idea down) Or if it exists already, BE A WAY to run the Zune Code..

All i'm saying really is, this sounds like a double edged sword. My 2 cents

ya, anything can hurt if its not tested, which we wouldnt have the huge resources available as adobe or macromedia per se

I would imagine this is only as good as the program running it. By definition, a music file or video, picture, whatever, is only a definition of the compression of that type of RAW data. So again, you would need to find a weakness in the program outputting that sort of media.

That is already how alot of virus and hack operate it usually involves alot of odd colours that when read from code in hex or binary and while the CPU is determining what pixels to be displayed it is executing this code. but it is very very hard to do usally and you need a very good knowledge of oh registers and assembly code works

I think it'd be fairly difficult to exploit that in the Zune.
