Default Zune-Linux Site

Now that they've actually made a seperate site for hacking the Zune, what is going to happen with the hacking team here on ZuneBoards.com? Are we still trying to create a team and hack the Zune here in parallel with Zune-Linux, or has the hacking team moved there all together ???

I don't want to be left out of the loop

They're two separate sites, and should be treated that way. You guys should still work together for zB's benefit, since the sites are not created, the administration is just friends.

Zune-Linux may come in months, but all we know that it won't be here for a while. Also, there will be www.linux.zuneboards.com coming soon.

I don't know about this Zune linux project. I'd like to see some hard evidence that someone has made an progress toward that goal.

Trust me, there has been progress, much more than anyone realizes, but it is on the down-low until they can make it applicable for the average person (i.e. - the clueless person).

thats stupid
nearly all valid hack/mod projects done on the web have always posted evidence at first, and released some sort of hard proof (a screenshot, etc) that what they were doing was real. The whole point is for it to be a communal thing, with credit still going to the dev.
At least some detail of the exploit is usually posted, so other can progress with other projects in some way.
Videl hasnt even mentioned how she managed to get into Kernel mode or gotten past security certs, etc.

The details haven't been released to the public yet. There have been some updates (big ones :P) that have been released to trusted users (i.e. - the Hacks and Mods Team 8))

Unfortunately, I still believe I still have a somewhat limited view of what's actually going on, though.

From what I've seen there seems to be no evidence whatsoever of anyone even coming close to getting the Zune to run anything other than the software already on it.

well im an 'average' person.. or clueless even when it comes to complicated software and stuff, but the zunes 500Mhz (approx.) i.MX31L processor has loads more potential than the ipods processor . the zunes processor is the kind they can use in PDAs. so it is possible to run linux on zune, unless it checks for digital signatures and stuff.. well it would take more time but hackers will figure it out eventually. So im just going to sit tight and wait 8) lol.
