Zune Software Portable

I'm interested to check this out. I thought this wasn't possible due to all the registry keys the software requires.

Tested on 2 computers... the only thing i noticed is it asks you if u want to link the zune to the computer everytime... but all of the config. stays the same!

I think that would most likely be due to the fact that theres no registry keys saved about the zune.

Pretty sweet though. People have been waiting for this for quite a while. Might i ask how you did it?

So you could get music and videos off your friends computers w/ out installing the software.

Syncing = Doesn't work. Nice try, but no cigar. Plus, the same thing could be done for about 1/3 the size.

im assuming the zuneHDpatch just searches and modifies existing resgistry entries. but is there a way to use a batch file to input these regitries or are they random location? That may solve some problems with the portable software.

I would think you could do some freaky stuff to trick it into thinking it's a native install.

For example, Sandboxy (I believe it it's name) runs an executable, and when the exe tries saving things such as registry keys, it picks it up.
