Well, I dunno, the fact that everyone here uses them without a problem? If you're that afraid of viruses and "spywear," invest in a decent anti-virus suite, it's a lot better than simply being paranoid.
Oh, and of course that posting virus infested materials here could get you banned if you run across someone with the temperament to do so.
I just moved this to Zune Games - don't post anything in Download Completed Games if it isn't a game.
As to your question, I suppose you could run an anti-virus scanner over each file, but realistically, if someone here was evil enough to put malware into a game, you would probably hear about it. Also, it should be impossible to get any sort of malware from a .ccgame file (as long as the file is indeed a .ccgame, and not a .exe).

The games wouldn't be on the forums if they contained viruses. It's that simple.
This website is far too large to allow files with viruses a place on the website. The threads would be deleted and the user infracted/banned as soon as a person became aware of it.
If you're scared, download from Bolt's games package, he uploaded all the files there himself, and he's a Staff member, so he wouldn't post virus-filled files.
after downloading some games, songs on my zune (that have always worked) began to freeze up. A few of my songs, if i start listening to about 10 seconds in it will become mute. i can still go through the menus but if i press the play button or click play all my zune will freeze up and then i have to reset it.
is this a virus or something of the sort or do you think it is curropt data. because these worked before i started putting games on.
howev its really not that big a deal, just curious.

Data on any hard drive can get corrupted but I think it is a coincidence that it seemed to happen at a similar time frame as installing the games. The games are not granted much access to the files or software on the zune by the xna framework and there is no way around these limitations. If there was, there would probably be some cooler games and applications out there but because there isn't I don't think there can be any games that run on the zune that are a virus.
It seems plausible to me that some one could make a .ccgame that does something to your computer but that is not any issue with any of the games currently out to my knowledge.
But also consider this,
-viruses are usually aimed at affecting the largest number of people possible. Not all that many people install games on their zune which is not even a very popular mp3 player.
-Making and spreading viruses will get you unreasonably high jail time. The high jail time is because people are so rarely arrested for it.
-Most of the risk would be in actually spreading the virus. That is to say putting it on this forum for you to download. I don't thing that many people would down load it before it got figured out. It would not be worth it.
