So zune can't run "really good" graphix huh...

I was hoping that we would see games like that xna racing game. (to see search xna racing game in youtube) That really isn't helpful when developing an over-the-top game. (im in the progress of doing so) Closest thing i've seen so far is running man. your opinions?

Games can have any kind of graphics they want(Although limited to 2d), good or bad, Its up to the programmer if he/she is good at making graphics or not.

when people say it doesnt have a graphics chip they dont mean it cant process grpahics they mean it can not take on the challenge of 3d or fake 3d like in the original gta games =]

i'm pretty sure someone playing around with the raycasting can make a driving game in that fashion while not as pretty it wouldn't be over the top.

Man i sure hope so. I've gotten to the point these days where i can't even enjoy the game as much if it doesn't look that great. But does anyone know what kind of power the zune can withstand when it comes to games? Theres like a 12 mb restriction or something like that (explain)

ya. at first waz using what i know off of c++, but i kinda had to force myself to learn the needed languages.

You get 16mb of ram, and an unconfirmed 2gb of game storage. As far as power, you have to figure it out for your game, If you dont have alot going on then it should be fine, you can include an fps counter while your creating your game to test, if you do have a lot going on then you will have to optimize your code however you can

Yeah, i was able to figure a lot of it out but thanx man was having trouble "rendering" and executing my game wit my crew... but we got it. My game runz at about 34 frames per sec... so i should work on it some more for the next few days. God im tired...

Um, wrong, the "fake" 3D is called RayCasting and there's already a game using it released on the Zune called GoldChase. Secondly, the 3D in the old GTA games is only on the buildings as far as I know, everything else is strictly 2D.

There's PLENTY of bad graphics and 2D-ness in old games that are much better than some new ones coming out today, though.

who really cares what the game looks like??? it just has to be awesome and fun. thats why nintendo games are still popular. one of the best internet games ive played was a "tower-defense" game where the different enemies were colored triangles, squares, and circles. The octagon was the boss!!!
