What is up with all these space games?

I mean, 3 out of the four games here have to do with space or are in a space environment. Do XNA users all have a fascination for the galaxy? Or is this just coincidence.

EDIT: Whoops, accidentally got this in the Zune talk section. Can a mod kindly move this please?

Coincidence, maybe, they're just easier and more simple to make?
I dont know, I've been wondering the same thing, just give it time, there will be some new one that will be different

Let it be noted, these games were made in one day. Also its less than beta, therefore not many people would care since they might have to change the game later on. Give it time.

yea i'm sure after time the games are gonna be great, right now i'm just greatful that zune is making game progress... i was kinda expecting they wouldnt come out for months!

Like others have said, they were just quick ways of learning how to develop for the new platform. Things are a bit different for us because of the limitations of the platform. Doing a simple game like space invaders helps initiate us with the capabilities of the device and give us ideas for what will work and what won't work.

TBH most people will just be altering the example to start with and not branching out and developing there own stuff straight off the bat

with Rock Rain SD we are upgrading it daily with new features. We are learning and discovering new tricks that we hope will help future developers.
