Yes, you use C#, and C# is easier than C++. Learn C# first btw.

You can use either one in XNA as far as I know. I'm pretty rusty on C++ so I haven't tried but either way, c# is loads easier. Use that if you're just learning to program and really want a compiled language.

I know you can use C++ with XNA, but I believe it's only for use on windows.

Yep, you can use XNA with any language that has a .NET implementation.
The problem however is deploying that to another platform where language specific assemblies might be missing, and if the 360 is any indication, you'll be pretty much forced to use C# to develop your Zune games.

I learned C++ and now I'm learning visual basic. School system does not know how to properly order this computer programming thing.
