IT is obvious from the videos around the net that while only being 2d, they will be very high quality - capable, and true color and even in - depth games, anything 2 dimensional that can be written on XNA with 16MB RAM or so maximum being used can run on the zune. XNA uses mostly C# and possibly a version of VB.net

2D? I was checking out the XNA system and following a tutorial and they were using 3D modeling.
Do you just mean it will be scroll and basic no "world rotation" type play?

It will only be using C# not VB, not C++, not any other language
As it says in the FAQ the Zune lacks the hardware acceleration to use a 3D engine. not only that but the API is restricted to the Spritebatch and rendertarget graphic API's

I've posted this question in one other thread, but I figured here would be the best place to get an answer, how do you delete the games from your zune?

When you click the game it should say "Delete" under the "Play" button. Click that.

Q: When will zune games become avaliable?
A: XNA Studio 3.0 will come out in thfe spring with games "out for the holidays" so no firm dates for this as of yet
|
The release that just occurred was a Community Technology Preview ( CTP). The full release of 3.0 will occur in the "Holiday 2008" time frame.
Quote:
Q: How will the games get on to my zune?
A: At first the games will have to be compiled and transferred to your zune via the XNA Studio. This is most likely so the games can be signed. After that there has been hints that they will be distributed via XBL but nothing has been confirmed yet.
|
There are no such hints for anything of that nature. Xbox 360 games will be getting a distribution system on XBL (called Xbox LIVE Community Games as of now) around the "Holiday 2008" time frame, but that has nothing to do with Zune.
Quote:
Q: Will the games support multiplayer?
A: Yes they will use the Zunes wifi to connect to other zunes so you can play together. No word as of yet as to how many players can play together.
|
There is a maximum of 8 Zunes that can connect together.
Quote:
Q: Can I share games with my friends via the zune's wifi?
A: Not to start with no but that is something they are planning to add at a later date.
|
This is also not something that was officially announced so I think should be removed from the FAQ (or at least corrected to just say "No").
There are also already three FAQs from the XNA site on Zune development and XNA 3.0:
