1. Better scrolling thru artists and albums, at the moment its too slow to get to the top or the bottom of the list.

2. Rules for playlists, this is the only thing that I miss from shifting from the ipod. When I add new songs I would like to create a 'Recent Additions' playlist or auto updating ones etc. (This could just be a software thing)

I don't know if you've discovered this or not, but if you create a playlist in the software and name it "Recently Added" then you can manage one yourself. It's not automatic, like iTunes (I wish), but if you organize the software by "list" and then by "date added", you can select everything that you've recently added and drag it to the playlist. Since it's in order by date added, it'll go in the corresponding or correct order on the playlist. The playlist will be synced to your Zune and you'll know what you recently added under music.

It would be nice if the Zune displayed the year the song was made. Being able to customize the color of the progress bar would be nice too because it sometimes blends in too much with album art.

The magical ability to create playlists
Right then and there on the Zune, because if I'm away from home, I'll forget what I wanted in the playlist

As well as a 5 star rating system like in Windows Media Player

Yea I relise that you can add playlists, by date added, all by yourself. But one totally annoying that that I found (in zune software) is not being able to sort the playlists! You cannot order it by artist, or anything, so annoying.

Love the zune tho, lol!

I change all previous requests to "Fix the damn sorting once and for all."

The new video sorting was great up until I realized that the nice old bug/annoyance where your albums or songs will randomly change names has now my afflicted video files. So yeah, I can now get them sorted to catagories, but now I am dealing with the zune trying to rename crap and label crap in the wrong places even after painstakingly adjusting everything.

That's weird. All of my music videos are grouped by album name. So, I have three videos from Beyonce's "B'Day" album. When I go to B'Day under the music category under "videos" it says that I have three episodes. If I click the album name it takes me to the actual files so that I can choose to watch them. Are your videos tagged correctly?

I want it so when you go to music, it has a menu for "now playing" which takes you to the music playing screen. I hate having to wait for it to go back after I've been looking at pictures.

It only takes a couple seconds to get back to now playing. Maybe more if you have your backlight set to stay on for longer.

If I'm understanding you correctly then all you need to do is press back while viewing the main menu. It will take you to the now playing the screen. If you were viewing pictures then just select "end sideshow" and it'll take you to your now playing screen as well.

i'm gonna agree with skunkd. it def needs a vibrate function. a snazzy vibrator, with, like, buttons and speeds.

but most importantly, (i might be out on my own on this) i really miss the iTunes "comment" column. you can tag the song with keywords like "breakup", "rainy days",
piano" or "workout" or whatever and then make a simple playlist using the playlist creator by filling in that comment field with your desired characteristics. i don't mind tagging songs. i would rather tag songs than go through and pick one-by-one which songs should be on a playlist. i have so many already tagged from iTunes. but, alas. this is my #1 missed feature from iTunes.

kudos to the (horribly-reviewed thus far) zune software for finally introducing video to the marketplace. i'm pretty pleased with this milestone, but it better not be a stopping point.
