Id like to see .avi support (well XVID/DIvX) on at least the Zune 30, which we had seen having something in the code

More equalizer options for those of us with really cool earphones

Maybe the ability to change Menu settings, like using the "Classic" small fonted menu, as well as change the font color for lighter backgrounds that would benefit from clack text

how about just either video playlists or a setting for videos to do the same thing music does (when a video ends, to start the next in the list.)

Video playlists are probably my most missed feature since making the jump to Zune. I would like it if each artist had like their own page. You can go to the artist on the Zune, but it'd be cooler if it was more customized with maybe the background changing to a good picture of them/him/her. There are bigger issues that need to be handled, though.

I don't see how this would even work. This would call for some pretty intricate interfacing, especially with just the Zune pad. There is no touch screen and you're extremely limited on buttons.

I own a 2nd gen 80GB and there are only two major problems with it that I think should be addressed with firmware updates.

1: The most important one is the lack of the EQ. Why? Someone should fix it and make it an option. Why would you think that would be a good idea to exclude?

2:.avi/divx/xvid file support. 98% of my digital videos are .avi/dvx/xvid. This is what I rip all of my personal DVDs to as it provides the best quality picture with the highest compression.

This is a great Idea I've always wanted to delete stuff from the zune. A Clock would also be a very nice addidtion. Another thing I want to see as others have said is to organize videos into categories like Movies, TV Shows, etc..And also sub-categories like Season 1, Season 2 of a particular show.

The reason the 2nd gen zune dont have EQ's is 2 fold really:
1. they didnt put the hardware instide for an EQ and a sfotware EQ is CPU expensie
2. The sound quatity produced and sent to your earphones is very very good (depending on the quatity of the rip) and thus there is no need for an EQ.

Personnaly i dont get why peopel dont listen to music the way is was intended to be listened to by the artist

A CLOCK! I cant stress that enough. Why is it so hard to get a clock going? Also the ability to record music from the radio would be nice.

Some earphones provide too much base, while some are more tinny. Situations like that can be remedied, to an extent, with an EQ. Some songs just sound better with more base, while others sound better with less base so that the vocals are more distinguished. I don't feel that I need one, but I can understand others who would like one.

Oh I would also like a stripped down version of windows messenger. I know that it would be hard to type, but an onscreen keyboard with the zune pad could work fine right? Plus it would be more convenient if you don't have access to a computer, but want to message your friends. Ofcourse it would require a wireless connection though.
