Ability to create playlists right on the zune and manage them(add and remove songs, rename it)
ability to add to playlist or delete while song is playing
An actual repeat feature, that repeats the song you want
Portable Zune Marketplace(for those who use it)
A clock(if possible)
Adjustable font size(small,medium.large)
More customization(Change the main menu items and font color)

Me?
1. We should be able to change multiple components of a song (genre, artist, album, etc.) at once. For example, the Get Info pop-up window in iTunes. (One thing they got right!)
2. We should also be able to edit the info of multiple songs at once (see number 1)

In my personal opinion, that's the one thing that the Zune team should focus on. Then the Zune software won't suck so much.

I'd like to see a progress bar on the Zune during wireless syncing. I hate not knowing how far along in the process it is when I'm away from the computer.

I'd like to have the ability to play various video formats like I could with my Zen Vision:M. Would have been nice to also be able to connect and play content from my Zune with out having to load the software. Not all work places let you load none work related software. However, Media player is on pretty much all Windows computers and so there would have been no problem there.

When the new zune 2 was coming out there were many changes and the new firmware was the big talk of the moment. Sometime has pass and nothing new or any change has been to us zuners.The thing for success I think is always improve what you have. There is so many pmps in the market right now and MS has to change for better our zunes. I think is time for a new update adding new features so our beloved devices keep in the fight we the vast competition out there. What features if its up to you ,you will add ? So the zune keep on fighting.

I'd want the clock in some unobtrusive location, capacity to choose wireless networks without having to sync first, and probably some sort of FM recording feature, which would allow storage as mp3 or wma for playback later on the zune, or for retrieval via syncing. I'd also like some sort of alarm or appointment manager which could use the music library and the backlighting to notify the owner ( my zune is typically connected to speakers more often than headphones).. and add a favorites only playlist feature (like with the artist, songs, albums, genres menus... except that it would list songs / albums that have been voted with the heart setting it has on the zune) I mean, without that feature, favoriting your music is pretty much pointless.

Who doesn't want a clock? I'd take one.... I also think they should get the XNA games up asap, it'll get some buzz going for zune. Customizable font color/size would be nice as well.

it's been stated by MS and others that the XNA 3.0 beta would be out this spring, being that its spring now, it should be out any time.. the problem is that the official release time for a zune firmware update may not coincide with the beta release of xna 3.0, which would limit your zune coding until winter.

---by the way, don't take what I said personally, I'm just stating the details as I know them so that anyone who reads this can follow the concepts without having to ask that sort of question... and you know, I am not trying to come off as a know-it-all.

I would love the software to NOT delete files from my zune because I moved them off my pc, I would for this to work without having to dance in the moonlight before making my zune sign in as a guest.
I would love for tags to work correctly the first time without needing to download half a dozen friggin programs to do so. I would love it for my tags to not randomly decide that on Thursday album 1 is going to be split into 3 different albums and then on friday to decide it wants to work again.
Ability to make folders for Zune from the PC Software
Web Browser (I am ok with needing to use a virtual keyboard if it means I can goof off a bit online with my zune)
Ability to view txt files would be king
Clock Definitely.
