What do YOU want in the next firmware?

What I would really like to see would be something that would let you go back to the last picture you saw in a certain folder. Like you can stop watching a movie and come back to that same spot later? Because I have books on my Zune, and I hate having to scroll back to where it was that I stopped. You know? I read up to page 955 in three days and every time I want to pick up where i left off I have to scroll through 954 other pages. Just a bookmark feature.

I actually like Zune the way it is now, I mean maybe a few things could be fixed(battery life) but that can't be in a firmware.

I just want to be able to pick the next song to play on my zune. I don't even need to be able to edit my playlist, just being able to add the next song inline would be nice.

This would mean MS is supporting something they aren't already supporting. You could try splitting them up into like folders of 100 pages at a time.

Your really not the only one who wants a clock, just look around and you'll find more than 3 dozen posts dealing with a clock. The Zune creates playlists, just wish we could save and name them.

I am not the most GUI person in the world but I will do my best to describe what I require.

I want the ability to drop and drag from my music dbase just like the old zune software. You know, slam dunk mp3's to the device from my folders.

I want the device/software to know when it is full and quit. Not tell me I have to remove songs from the device. Right now MS gave me the work around of having to sign in as a guest device. The old software knew and just quit when it was full.

I want to tell the device (like the old software & wmp) when to look at the music dbase folder and compile the music. Then I know it is getting all the tunes.

I want the software to work as nice as the original. This new software is horrible, although I do like the hearts.

I want the option to downgrade to the original. I loved that dbase.

I want to be able to drag album art instead of the 3 step process which I am stuck with. I hate it!

I love my zune, but MS should make it work with wmp. what is up with that?

I want the editing of metadata back the same as the original software.

Thanks for letting me vent. I know there is more, but I figured I would start with this stream of of conscienceness...... Thanks.

I agree, some games would be nice. Not necessary though. Aside from that, being able to delete files right from the zune. One other thing, I'm not sure which would need the update for this to work, probably both, but, the ability to transfer songs, movies, and pictures back and forth between a zune and xbox 360. I mean, theres connectivity now, but I think it would be nice to take the videos and such I have on my 360 and put them on my zune.

im not so sure about the games.
it would be hard to play and witht he current way mine and im sure other zunes battery holds up even during videos would not make a sufficient source for game playing.
but i do agree the connectivity issue between the zune and 360 would be cool.
and if its even within the realm of possibility to get support for linux on the zune would be cool.
but again not so sure about that either.
