Sometimes my zune won't take downloads from youtube. I'll download a video, and it will put it will play on my computer but won't show up in my zune window for me ot put it on my zune.
Also, one day, just to save computer space, I deleted someof the movies form my zune widnow but didn't have my zune hoooked up so that they wouldn't be deleted form my zune. But when I rehooked my zune, the movies were delted from my zune! What happened?
Some of the videos which have been delted form my zune are DVD movies. I've put one of htem on my computer again, but now it wont' show up in the zune window even tough all the video files have already been placed in the video window.
the reason most likely has to do with your sync settings. I would imagine that you let the software automatically transfer/handle the video files. If you do this, when you delete something from the computer, it gets erased from the zune. Set the syncing to manual for videos.
As for the other problem, are you sure they're in your library?
I'm sorry that I replied to your message without reading the question you asked me,"Are you sure they're in your library?" The anser is yes. Do you have software which will allow you to see the same thing I see on my computer? If you do, pleas let me know and I'll download ICQ and we can get together adn talk abotu this and you can waslk me though whatevedr I may need to do.
I've got an 80 GB zune and in the settings there is no selection for naluel. What do you get in to set it? Also, I"ve had at least one video from youtube on my zune that won't go on there now. I've asked about it and other videos from youtube and the persons who uploaded them said that it was fine with them if I put them on my zune. But the strngest thing is that one DVD video "Thief in the Night," is on my computer and used to be on my zune, but it won't display in the zune window so I can put it back on my zune now.
I got hte problem fixed--the one where I got some videos acsidently delted. I tried setting that thing someone told me about--the remote thing that the zune instructions say nees to be turned off when flying in an airplane. That kept a piece of a movie that managed to get on there from getting off. I re-recorded the whole movie and got it on the zune. I don't know if that little sliver nf the first part of hte movie is still on there or not.
I do know that youtube videos in and of themselves aren't supported on the zune. I'm sorry that I forgot to tell you that I've been using a youtube download site. Some of the videos work, some don't. But I"m gong to try and recoy all the DVD videos that I previously had on the zune. If I can get them copied, maybe the youtube vidoes I had copied and want to copy will owrk. In my next post I'll send you the link to what I've been using. A man came to the house and installed another youtube dowload link. He deleted it since I'm using the other site I've been working with. I"m wondering if we should have stuck with the new software he dowloaded.
edit: Thanks to whoever suggested that software. I'll try it instead of what I"ve been working with. I got a DVD to cipy to the computer that I had on my zune before, but had trouble coying. I guess sometimes you just don't know what these wonderful but crazy computers are giong to do. Sometimes they'll play a DVD, sometimes they won't. So I guess sometimes they'll copy DVDs and sometimes they won't and the same thing with colpying them to the zune. Sometimes thyey'll computer copy but not to the zune, but if you can delte them, maybe the next time, it might work. I'll also try that with the youtube vids I've been having trouble with. I'll use the converter I"ve been using now that I've totally delted the videos form my computer and I'l redownload them. If I can't get them on the zune, I'll try the recommended software. Thanks for everyone's help who ahs answered my questions.
