Error code C00D1249 when installing 3.0. help!

i have one of the first edition 30gig zune players. recently while i was listening to music in my truck it stopped playing and a message came up that said "connect zune to pc," when i connect it to my pc it then says to open the zune software and restore the zune device firmware. (i have zune software v3.0) when i try to install the new firmware it gets all the way to the end of the installation process then it gives me an error message that says "Device was not updated. summary: your device did not update. Error Code: C00D1249." the zune web help was NO help at all as usual, it tells me to disconnect and reconnect the device and try to install it again (which ive done at least 20 times with no luck) or to install the latest firmware (i cant install the latest firmware, that is my whole problem!!) but anyway, any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Hold Back-Up to reset the Zune, then Back-Center-Left to wipe out the firmware. The software should update the firmware fine after that.

go to device manager, and uninstall aand then reinstall ur zune connection

Do what I said again, but also use this: UnZoone. After it's removed the software, reinstall the software and connect again to restore the firmware.

nope, still gettin the same error code.
