yeah, mine gets stuck on 0:00 all the time but i can still listen to the song, so it doesnt bother me too much... havent experienced any of the other things people have been saying.. zune 80
from my knowledge it looks like these are bugs in the current 3.0 firmware. hopefully the zb support team and the hacks and mods crew are "working with microsoft" on this problem. it seems to be that it only happens on the hdd based zunes (30,80,120) so there you have it.

First hi all, new here, nice place.
OK niceties out of the way, my wife and I both have zune 30gigs and my wife has updated to 3.0 and is having many of the same problems... lockups and a kinda weird episode where we were in the car with the zune plugged in to the cig lighter and connected to a wireless rf modulator, while driving down the road the zune just went off, no reset would work nor standby and so we unplugged it and put it away and went home and plugged it into the pc she syncs with and it immediately started to charge and viola' it works again. We are ready for an update...

Well, I don't think that we're "working" with them, but I can guarantee you someone at Microsoft monitors the online Zune community, here included. They'll get the picture.

I've had this stupid glitch a lot too. Really annoying, if you ask me. I'm used to being able to hit Back Song button to restart the song, not hit that then forward.... Any idea if they'll fix this any time soon?
i am having a problem with my zune where the counter for the song stays at 0:00 for the entire duration of the song unless i fast forward the song, but even then it is off. sometimes it randomly starts counting in the middle of a song. anyone else have this problem?
i just posted a new topic about this... but its nice to know im not crazy
locke, that didn't work for me. i did that back when it was freezing because the games weren't there and it did seem to fix that...

I was incredibly happy when I first purchased my Zune 80. Was glad to be away from the iPod nano I formerly owned, and was quite proud of MS for putting out such a solid product. Now after a couple months of using this absurd 3.0 firmware, I have almost completely lost my faith in the Zune. What was once such a great player has now turned into a buggy, horrible mess of a gadget that oozes typical Microsoft bugs and glitches. My progress bar is constantly at 0:00, which sucks if you want to rewind a bit or fast forward a song, because it will start at the beginning again instead of rewinding or forwarding from the point in the song you are listening to. Resets temporarily fixed this issue, but now they don't even work. It now likes to speed songs up at random, quite often, and locks up regularly. My brother in law picked up a Zune 120 that was totally bricked after the update as well. Is this Windows? Incredibly disappointed that this is happening and for so long now without even some sort of help from MS. So much credibility lost. Might be time to sniff out the new iPods again. Shame.
