Manual 2.5 Upgrade needed

I'm sorry if I'm cluttering the board here (I've seen a couple of similar posts). I just have a very specific problem. I'm in Iraq and don't have personal internet access. The only systems I can access that have internet are restricted and I can't download the Zune software on them to upgrade my firmware. I'm wondering if there is any way I can download 2.5, transfer it to my laptop via thumb drive and update the firmware that way. Seriously, I have been wracking my brain and there is really no other way that I can think of to get this done. Any advice would be appreciated.
