Default Zune 30 gb

Alright, I have some questions for the new Zune update. Here's my story first off, i'm computer illeterate so please bare with me:

I had a Zune all last year in 2007, from like Feb-Nov/Dec somewhere around in there. When Zune did the new update (i don't know which one) it suddenly made my whole cd library all messed up, when i tried to sync my cds onto to my Zune 30gb the album cover art was not right, the track lists were not right etc. etc. I tried doing the old Zune software hack and i couldn't get that to work, you know where you tried to go back to the original Zune update or whatnot and that didn't work.

I have windows vista which sucks and all but my question is did the new Zune update fix everything? B/C i sold my Zune 30 gb and I have'nt had another MP3 player in 6 months or so, and i really miss my Zune. I loved the sound quality on my 30gb, you could put the EQ on rock and the type of music that i listen to sounded excellent, with the deep bass and heavy drums guitars and all, i had an ipod in 2005-2006 and cds where the production was really heavy it sounded like sh!t! So i want my zune back but can i now just put my cds on there and have them sync properly again or do i need to wait another 6 months and see Microsoft can fix it to where you don't have to be a computer whiz to get your cds on your zune?? and have the right album cover art and tracklisting and all like it used it to be at the beginning of 2007???

Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated b/c i really miss my Zune and i'd love to come back!!!

Aaron

Default windows vista

yeah, but i have the exact same computer as i did last year when my zune used to work properly, all i'd do is put my cds in my burner and rip them to onto zune and then plug in my zune and it would sync them properly...so i guess i'm without an mp3 player huh?

this sucks man, it used to just work...

I guess what i'm trying to ask is is did the new update fix the jumbled mess that the zune software became when they updated it or do i need to wait until they get there sh!t right?

The Zune software works perfectly on Vista 32bit and Vista 64bit, you just have to make sure, just like on XP, that you stay up to date with your windows updates and your sound/video drivers.

The track listings/album art from the starting point are based SOLEY on the tags the mp3s originally had to begin with, so if you got them from an illegal and unlegit source chances are the illegal source did not tag them right to begin with, or if you ripped them using software then the software was not set to label them correctly other then the file name which barely counts anymore, just like any other program (winamp, windows media) it takes awhile for the program to straighten out your library for itself. If you start having big issues like double listings and such you can use the MS Media Reset tool in my signature.

Also now in the software (2.5) you can rightclick your tracks and change them directly from the zune software, add/replace album art, and pretty much anything else you want.
