My entire music library (~1300 songs) got all screwed up song titles, album titles, etc. when I switch to the Zune. I had all the mp3 tags correct on my old mp3 player, but I switch to the Zune, it reverts to the old mp3 tags. I've been trying to use MediaMonkey to fix the tags, but that didn't work as only some of the songs were changed on the Zune itself.
Now with the new software 2.5 update, it is just so easy to update song information and album information. I'm pretty sure this wasn't in the old version, but you can just click a few times and you get all the album's data, art, etc. and I think that's the thing that makes me like the Zune software now. I used to hate it, but I now I'm starting to like it. I'm updating my album pretty fast and I could probably finish tonight. I'm still going to use Winamp, though ;D ![]() |

It hasn't been an epic, life-changing experience, but I'm still glad for it.
...wow, Bear Grylls just shoved a knife into a turtle's face.

That dude is f*cking insane!
I like the new software A LOT better than 2.3. It seems to be a little more intuitive and it's a lot easier to edit everything. Now, if they could just make it to where you could edit the files that are on your Zune through the software and drag and drop album art it'd be damn near perfect.

Yep, i'm loving 2.5. So far i've noticed it's not messing up album art. And it's easy to fix any that were messed up before the fix.

Yes. It took forever and a day to come, but I can finally organize my videos. I'm finally a completely happy customer.

My only complaint is that when I upgraded to 2.5, it replaced about 5% of my album art with completely random unrelated album covers from artists I've never heard of. I fixed that pretty quickly though.

The new software makes the program actually usable to manage music. Seriously, the old version tried at least four separate times to make my Journey songs come from the same album, when the files have the actual album information in them!
Anyways, all major complaints are addressed. Has anyone noticed improvements in battery life, etc. on the Zune itself? That would be nice. |

It's an improvement. Far from perfect, but it's not that bad.

I'm lovin 2.5. Anyone else notice that while synching, your zune now displays the percent complete? Maybe it's old, but I'm just noticing it. Also, love the new autoplaylists, just wish you could apply multiple filters of the same type, eg. "Album Artist: Circa Survive AND Album Artist: The Sound Of Animals Fighting".

Hi All. This is my first post, but I came in tonight to see if I was right in thinking that the new update I got this weekend was FAR superior to what we had before.
Something new that I noticed that they DIDN'T have before is that it seems to be intuitive about albums that have no gaps. "Dark Side of the Moon" now sounds right! There are no gaps between songs. Same with "The Beatles - LOVE" soundtrack. iPod has had this ability for quite a while, and I'm VERY happy to see this new function on my Zune. |

I think its a step in the right direction. I only wish this update was what we got in the beginning. I didn't have to edit any of my music. So far it seems to be working out just fine. And podcast syncing seems alot better for me.
