Can zune 30GB play .mp4 files WITHOUT converting them to .wmv????

not that i know of yet... most people say zune 30 only supports wmv but on site says it supports .mp4... who knows.. lol

You must convert mp4's to zune format, unfortunately it does not support mp4.

The main converter I use is Videora iPod Converter, but that only converts to mp4, not wmv. But I'm fine with just converting my stuff to mp4 using Videora and then letting the Zune software convert that mp4 to wmv. It's a long proccess if your dealing with movies, but it's worth it since Videora is a really good converter (awesome quality, tiny size

) Plus, one of the reasons I especially like it is because it's super easy, so apparently it's just what your looking for!

The Zune does not directly support .mp4 videos, but the Zune can play videos that were .mp4 vidoes, because the Zune software converts the videos to .wmv when syncing. So you can still play .mp4 videos, just after the Zune software converts them.

Yeah it says on the zune website that it supports mp4 but it will transcode it at device sync.
