People are complaining about those things. All of these are simple features that shouldn't have been omitted in the first place. A clock should have been a given and is much more simple than video tagging and interface organization.

As much as I'd like a clock for my Zune, I think I'll be fine. I do have a watch. I'd prefer Microsoft focus on improving the software, fixing bugs, and implementing big new features.

Buy a $20 Timex watch from Wal-mart. They're reasonably cheap and last a couple of years, if not longer.

What the hell?? the zune 30 and I'm sure the zune 80 (and even the 4 and 8) have equalizer presets... if there are presets then that means that it has support for a multi frequency range manual equalizer, it could just have another option under EQ presets called "Custom" and a page for setting the custom preset with the up and down or left and right for selecting different frequency ranges, and the other directions for adjusting it... come on that doesn't seem like it "misses the hardware" or "lacks the software" it just hasn't fully implemented the concept yet... and how many times are we going to see a thread with "ZUNE SHOULD HAVE TIME" in it? I've posted to at least one thread like that on that topic already... so no comment this time.

I heard that people might reset the clock to another time to bypass the 3-play rule on sent songs.

You took the words right out of my mouth. It's seems a clock would be easier than video tagging. And for the person that said about bypassing the 3 day thing, they could just have some feature that will automatically delete the shared item when you reset the clock.

Too true... well, I do wear a watch (not really ) and it is just easier to have time on my Zune, instead of pulling out my cell and checking the time

it'd be a good idea to also put games and other languages onto the zune

Well, when you're looking at the big picture, like, say, when you're starting a new line of MP3 players and a new media content delivery system (Zune Marketplace), a few minor things fall through the cracks.

Seriously, it's pretty sad that we don't have a clock and 'they' do.

I hope you're joking . I'm pretty sure I've already given this speech, but I guess I'll have to give it another go. Microsoft is a multi-billion dollar company with incredible resources in developing software and firmware. The Zune was created to go with their own operating system. The fact that they have not caught it up to speed in terms of features and functionality is inexcusable. The Zune has been out for quite a while, and we've even heard news of the next-generation players coming out next year, so there's no excuse as to why we're still using crippled software for our players. None. Everything they've showed us that everyone on this board seems to be wowed over won't even come out in full until "later this year". Microsoft has apparently put people on a leash and is just dragging them along. I don't have brand loyalty like some people here so if I've been with a brand and they screw me over, I leave. I like my Zune and Microsoft has done a nice job with the hardware, but having to jump through hoops to organize everything has gotten old. They knew when they released the new software that it was crippled and that it had issues. Some issues have been resolved, but the lack of features is just ridiculous. And it's not like they're incredibly complex ones either. We cannot even manually sort playlists? We cannot organize all video files on our Zune so we're left with unorganized video sections. There's no clock (I can look over that, though it's still ridiculous), and there aren't even auto-playlists. There are cellphones with monochrome screens from the 90s with clocks. As far as I'm concerned, Microsoft has had plenty of time especially when you consider the fact that we haven't had an update since around January. Microsoft is trying to compete with the iPod. That much is obvious. But there's no way that they can compete with iTunes, even excluding the store, with the software we're using now.

more work for them and if they haven't added a clock yet, they obviously don't want to put in the work of moving to icons
