Old ftw.

It was pretty good.

The new software < old software.

but firmware wise...

new > Old

I like firmwares in the 2.1 and 2.2 range. 2.3 pissed me off.

All of the new stuff kicks major ass.

You guys all probably like the old stuff because all of the hacks we had made it awesome. It was pretty ****|ng lame to begin with.

Overall the improvements made with the most recent firmwares just out weigh the hassles of sticking with the old firmware.

2.2 was in the conspiracy too, but I don't blame it as much as 2.3. when my zune froze it told me that the only way I could still use my zune is that I upgrade firmware, in which the software told me that I had too much stuff and that I delete stuff so it wouldn't let me upgrade. thus my zune is dead in my room.

I mean how the **** big is 2.3 anyways?

I prefer the new..EXCEPT..why the hell did they take out "flagged" songs? I didn't use it for what it was originally intended for, but did use it to "flag" songs on my zune that either had bad tags, bad encoding, or just general issues that would warrant me replacing them. I miss that feature a ton (especially with 3000+ songs on the device).

PoN has it right.

New Firmware > Old Firmware
New Softawre < Old Software

-sighs- I can't wait for the alternator to be finished, then hello iTunes(it's free, so don't bash for wanting to use it. It's just MADE by Apple, they don't get anything from it )

I like the typography in the new firmware
The old software was simply a skinned WMP but we have zAlt so you can pretty much use WMP and it is almost the old software

True Trogdor but the old firmware let you have more control of your songs. I hate M$.

I thought there was a way to edit tags in the new software?

The new one is better, in my opinion. I have never had problems with it, and I like how we get all the new features, like wireless sync, podcast management, etc.

There is, but it doesn't actually work!

Old software was 1000000 x better
The new firmware will hopefully all be working in the next update...but as of right now...the old firmware worked 100% so old > new in that case too.
once the bugs are out of the firmware and software, then the new one will kick ass....until then all the new stuff is trash.
