FIRMWARE OLD VS. NEW - Page 2

Old firmware vs. 2.2? 2.2 no contest, 2.3 is terrible, my zune freezes atleast once a day. I dont understand how you can have a seamless frimware, update it and make it worse than 1.1 I have not been one to complain, but the need a new firmware update soon.

idk i read all these post and most ppl sya they have problem but i dont see any well i guess it depends if ur looking for the flaws ull find them but most of the are small ans ms is workin on puttin out better or newer ofw (original firmware) and ms isnt a perfect robot they are a bunch of smart ppl making small glitches in the fw no one is perfect and ms isnt perfect so i say who cares
there will always be problem in a hardware made ppl

I really see no difference from 2.2 and 2.3 on my zune.

A lot of the problems I see here just seem isolated, not to say they don't deserve attention but they don't seem as serious as you guys make it out to be.

I've only had one problem with the new firmware. My main screen was still visible once when I went to play a video.

i personally don't reallyc are about the new and old firmware.. as long as my zune still works.. with some new features.. i don't mind.. lol

The podcasts would be great if the ****ing software would let you download all of them instead of giving an error and never letting them download. I miss the old menu on the zune so you could enjoy your background more.

Nope. Like some Apple video program from version 6 to version 7, Windows XP to Windows Vista, Windows Media Player 10 to Windows Media Player 11,

they took OUT the feature. All ZS 2 is is a nicer UI, and eyecandy. It has so many problems I'm amazed it hasn't CRASHED our OSs yet.

I'd rather have the old software, but I might get MediaMonkey since I keep hearing good things about it.

yea i wish the text wasn't so damn big, i mean i can barely see my bg as nice as i cud on the old firmware
but then again the new firmware has sum ups like podcasts, nice UI(old one was nice too), and much quicker
IMO both are nice cuz they each have their positives and negatives and both work well

I love the new firmware because of the new UI and podcasts support. I don't mind the new software too.

Well i tested a bit the first firmware when i got my zune out of the box ,
And the new one is clearly better , Estheticly talking + new features.
